Dr Christie is the most experienced ultrasound baby scanning operator in Scotland. He has been at the forefront of ultrasound development and application since 1965 and is internationally recognised for his experience and expertise.

He introduced the first routine 20 week anomaly scans into the UK NHS in 1974

He was Head of the Department of Obstetric Ultrasound at the University of Dundee Medical School from 1970 to 1995..

In recent years he has held posts as Professor of Diagnostic Ultrasound at the Universities of Malaysia, Singapore, Bangkok, Istanbul, Copenhagen and Thomas Jefferson in Philadelphia.
